Friday-Saturday, November 3-4 -I Heart BBQ, 400 Bear Creek Park 6:00-10:00pm and 8:00am-10:00pm I Heart BBQ is a two-day, IBCA-sanctioned cook off and festival that benefits the Keller Senior Activities Center. There will be a 5K, 1 mile fun run, tailgate zone, live music, games, silent auction, and more. Admission is free.   Saturday, November 4 -Movie: “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk”, Keller Public Library 2:00-4:00pm Read Across Texas encourages communities to engage in tough but important conversations. Join us in our efforts to shed light on what happens when veterans come home. Rated R so only adults are welcome.   Sunday, November 5 -Tail Waggin’ Tutors, Keller Public Library 3:00-4:00pm Every first Sunday of the month, children come and and read aloud to our therapy dogs! For ages 5 and up. Sign up at the desk on the day of the event.   Tuesday, November 7 -ESL Class, Keller Public Library 10:00am-12:00pm If you are interested in learning English, join us for a free class on Tuesdays from 10-noon. Various levels and languages welcome. November’s book is Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk by Ben Fountain.   Saturday, November 11 -Casey’s Kids 5K Fun Run, Bear Creek Park 8:00am Jog or run to support our kids in Keller ISD! This event directly benefits our community. For registration and donation information, go here.   -Viola Memorial Car Show, 1100 Bear Creek Pkwy 10:00am-5:00pm The SSG Alex Viola Foundation will be hosting the 3rd annual car show. All proceeds will benefit the Green Beret Foundation and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. There will be a live auction, famous pinstripers, and more.   -Gobble Up! Training Workshop, Lupe’s Tex-Mex, 2122 Rufe Snow Drive 11:30am-4:30pm 1-day workshop for teaching and family care training. Free for TAFCC members, $20 for non-members.   -Armistice Day: Local Letters from WWI, Keller Public Library 2:00-3:00pm On the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, we will be commemorating by welcoming historian Joyce Roach to present a collection of World War I letters and photos from Keller locals.   Saturday, November 18 -Pickleball Tournament, Bear Creek Park 7:30am start Men’s and women’s doubles to benefit the Brenda J. Slovak pancreatic cancer research endowment. Entry fee $25 per person.   Wednesday, November 22 -Keller Public Library Closing early at 6pm   Thursday, November 23-Friday, November 24 -Keller Public Library closed.   Thursday, November 23 -Run with the Turkeys, Keller City Hall 8:00am start Secure your spot now for the Thanksgiving Trot benefiting the Community Storehouse!
